"Metal Mickey" is the second single by the English rock band Suede, released on 14 September on Nude Records. It was included the following year on the band's debut album Suede. It charted at No. 17 on the UK Singles Chart, a vast improvement on the previous single Genre: Britpop, glam rock.

 · For a début album, Suede features unusually well-crafted songs with strong lyrics, first-class guitar performances from Bernard Butler and a set of marvelous melodies that invite listener participation. I still don’t care for the production; Ed Buller applied an updated version of the Wall of Sound style to virtually all the recordings, and while it worked fine on the singles, it weakened the Estimated Reading Time: 11 mins.

Suede is the debut album by English alternative rock band Suede, released in March on Nude Records. It was recorded in London at Master Rock studios late and early and was produced by Genre: Britpop, alternative rock, glam rock.

Suede also had three minor hits in the US, with "Metal Mickey" peaking at number seven on the Modern Rock Tracks in , "Everything Will Flow" charting at number 28 on the Hot Dance Music/Club Play chart in and Hit Me in Butler left while the band were recording Dog Man Star and was soon replaced by Richard Oakes.
